Saplings Meet the Soil in Iğdır: Breath for the Future, Breath for Humanity
Students of the Hunting and Wildlife Program participated in the afforestation event organized with the slogan "Breath for the Future, Breath for Humanity" as part of the "11 November National Afforestation Day".
As part of the 11 November National Afforestation Day organized under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, saplings met the soil in Iğdır as well as throughout Turkey. Many institution representatives attended the event organized by the Iğdır Forestry Operation Directorate. Governor Turan and Iğdır Forestry Operation Director Taner Tazegün gave speeches on the meaning and importance of the day.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hakkı Alma also planted saplings together with students of the Hunting and Wildlife Program at the event.
As part of the program, a total of 40 thousand saplings met the soil, 5 thousand at the foot of Mount Ararat and 35 thousand in Tuzluca.
